This one is nice. I left the construction lines in.

This one is nice too. I found this one while playing with a new construction technique, "The Sarah Method" (named after Sarah, who showed me). It's easy to construct, but there's a flaw inherent in the technique that makes a certain area hard to keep the proper width. You can see just to the up-right of center where the band dies. Some day, I'll spend the time figuring a way to set this one up that doesn't lead to this failure.

This one is from a period where my knots were getting too freeform and messy. I realized that I wasn't liking them so I have reverted back to simple standbys for a time. From here I will expand in a nicer direction.

I first started out copying the bird off the back of a 2p coin. Then I worked on illuminated capital letters. This is a step back to birds and a couple spirals thrown in. The birds are nice because they make a full illustration but the primary knot is actually very simple. Then some free form bits. The freeform on this one is more complex than those on the Irish coinage. Too complex I think.

This isn't particularly exciting, but the density of the regular weave in the middle is nice. I should see if I can find a copy of the Valentine knot.
